A Geomatics Technician is responsible for quality control and assembly of imagery products. One of the most vital components of a technician’s responsibilities is reviewing digital images and making pass or fail decisions based on image quality and accuracy. We are a fast-paced, energetic team driven by continuous process improvement. We’re looking for motivated, organized, and independent team members</p><p style="margin: 0px;"> </p><p style="margin: 0px;"><strong>This is a full-time position with a base compensation of $17.00/per hour. While there is a preference for hybrid candidates in Rochester, NY we are also open to fully remote candidates. </strong></p> <br>Responsibilities<br><br><p style="margin: 0px;">• Utilizes proprietary internal and industry standard geomatics packages to post-process raw GPS, INS, and digital image data.<br>• Ensures that customer image quality and accuracy requirements are met by following established procedures and policies.<br>• Builds customer deliverables.<br>• Ongoing software training and development support.<br>• Joins one or more special teams.<br>• Other duties as assigned.</p> <br>Qualifications<br><br><p style="margin: 0px;">• Associate degree or equal work experience.<br>• Excellent personal computer abilities required, experience with file management, networking, databases, etc. strongly preferred.</p><p style="margin: 0px;"> </p><p style="margin: 0px;"><strong>Preferred Experience:</strong><br>• Ability to manage detail intensive data processing within given timelines.<br>• Ability to work both independently and with a team.<br>• Experience with information technology, digital imaging, physics, mathematics, management, GPS, GIS, scripting, remote sensing or administrative work would be helpful.<br>• Experience with Windows 10 and 11.</p><p style="margin: 0px;"><br>This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that a workforce member in this position may be asked to perform.
