In this critical role on AlixPartners’ Corporate Services team, you will support the Information Technology function via the CCSI (Cloud, Client Services, and Innovation) Team. This role is a senior, hands-on technical leadership position with a strong emphasis on AI-enabled platforms, GitHub-centric delivery, GitOps operating models, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and containerized workloads across Azure and multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, deployment, and operational support of AI and large language model (LLM) platforms leveraging Azure-native services, with a focus on scalability, security, and compliance.
  • Guide cloud-native platform evolution across Azure, AWS, and GCP, with a primary concentration on Azure PaaS, AI services, and automation-first architectures.
  • Partner with stakeholders to analyze, report on, and remediate performance, reliability, and cost optimization issues across AI-enabled and traditional cloud workloads.
  • Establish and operate GitHub as the system of record for infrastructure, platform, and configuration changes using GitOps principles.
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub and Azure DevOps, enabling automated testing, security scanning, and deployment of cloud and AI platforms.
  • Lead the authoring, review, and lifecycle management of Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code, ensuring repeatability, compliance, and auditability across environments.
  • Define standards and best practices for IaC using Terraform, ARM, Bicep, JSON, and PowerShell, with a bias toward modular, reusable components.
  • Architect, deploy, and support containerized platforms and workloads, including orchestration, scaling, and lifecycle management on Azure-native container services.
  • Guide teams in adopting cloud-native and microservices-based designs, integrating containers into CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
  • Provide hands-on operational leadership for 24x7x365 production environments supporting mission-critical, high-volume systems.
  • Lead day-to-day technical, administrative, and functional support for cloud platforms, ensuring alignment with compliance frameworks such as SOC2, ISO27001, and HIPAA.
  • Define and maintain system documentation standards, including architecture diagrams, Git repositories, runbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams, guiding system design decisions, onboarding new engagements, and troubleshooting complex platform issues.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies in AI, cloud, and DevOps to drive platform modernization and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • BS or BA in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Relevant certifications such as Azure Architect Expert or Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience supporting and operating cloud platforms, with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and exposure to AWS and/or GCP.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting, deploying, and operating AI / LLM platforms using Azure services.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code, including multi-environment and enterprise-scale deployments.
  • Proven experience with GitHub, GitOps workflows, and CI/CD pipeline development (GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps).
  • Experience designing and supporting containerized platforms and cloud-native application architectures.
  • Exposure to Big Data, BI, and analytics technologies (e.g., Fabric, Databricks) preferred.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the capability to influence and partner across functions, driving alignment and outcomes without relying on formal authority with demonstrated commitment to collaboration, inclusion, and professionalism, fostering productive working relationships
  • Experience leading complex initiatives and improving processes, tools, or operating models at a functional level
  • Experience in large, production-oriented service operations, with experience in a 24x7x365 service delivery model supporting mission-critical business operations with large data volumes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Highly organized with excellent organizational skills with experience operating in time-sensitive, ambiguous environments, balancing competing priorities with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday
