This is a Resident Adjuster position. **Only local current California residents need apply.**

The current position requires a dependable vehicle. Travel will encompass San Jose/South Bay Counties, San Francisco and East Bay counties.

Our experienced adjusters and investigators are fact finders who assist in the investigation, inspection, evaluation and adjustment of Commercial and Personal Lines Liability claims.

DUTIES:

  • Conduct thorough on-site investigations of casualty claims, including auto accidents and general liability incidents, which may include interviewing insureds, claimants, witnesses, and other involved parties.
  • Review and analyze insurance claims to determine validity and coverage. Evaluate damages and medical expenses. Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys to reach fair resolutions efficiently.
  • Analyze claim details to identify potential fraud indicators and ensure compliance with all relevant insurance laws.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all claim activities, findings, and correspondence within online claims database system.
  • Manage multiple claims simultaneously with excellent organizational skills while prioritizing urgent cases for prompt resolution.
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and decisions related to each claim.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • We are seeking applicants with a minimum 7 years of Field Claims experience, including experience in handling of General Liability and Personal Lines.
  • Strong analysis skills with the ability to assess complex claim information accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent negotiation abilities coupled with superior claims skills to handle sensitive situations professionally.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills for clear reporting. The ability to provide accurate and timely reports to our customers is critical.
  • Ability to work independently in the field while managing time effectively across multiple cases.
  • Prior experience as an Independent Adjuster is preferred, but not required.
