Salesforce Data Developer

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Salesforce Data & Analytics Consultant, you will play a key role in optimizing Salesforce and Marketing Cloud Engagement data (formerly ExactTarget), ensuring data integrity, and developing advanced analytics solutions.

This role goes beyond traditional reporting it's about uncovering deep business insights, streamlining data pipelines, and driving data-informed decision-making. RESPONSIBILITIES:

DATA QUALITY & INTEGRATION MANAGEMENT (40%)

  • Ensure Data Accuracy: Conduct ongoing audits to validate data integrity in Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud.
  • Resolve Data Issues: Work with integration teams to correct inconsistencies across Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and external data sources.
  • 360 Data Model: Unify data from Salesforce, Marketing Cloud Engagement, external CRMs, and enterprise sources to build a 360-degree customer intelligence data model.
  • Data Governance: Define and enforce best practices for data security, structure, and quality.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize dataflows, datasets, and queries to improve reporting efficiency.

DASHBOARD & REPORT DEVELOPMENT (40%)

  • Develop Interactive Dashboards: Create CRM Analytics dashboards that provide real-time insights into business performance.
  • Marketing Campaign Analytics: Analyze Marketing Cloud Engagement Journeys, Email & SMS Campaign Performance, and Subscriber Activity to optimize customer engagement.
  • Advanced Data Modeling: Use SAQL, SOQL, and JSON to develop custom queries and advanced visualizations.
  • Automate Reporting: Implement scheduled data refreshes, alerts, and predictive analytics in Salesforce.

STAKEHOLDER COLLABORATION & TRAINING (20%)

  • Gather Business Requirements: Work with stakeholders to identify KPIs and reporting needs.
  • User Enablement & Training: Educate teams on self-service reporting, data interpretation, and best practices.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Align Salesforce analytics with development, marketing, sales, communication, and operations teams.
  • Drive Data-Driven Culture: Champion the use of analytics, automation, and AI-powered recommendations to improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously explore new Salesforce AI capabilities (e.g., Einstein GPT, Data Cloud, and predictive modeling) to future-proof analytics strategies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Education & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Salesforce Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Data Consulting.
  • Salesforce Certified CRM Analytics & Discovery Consultant
  • Expertise in Salesforce data models, security models, and governance.
  • Experience with SAQL, SOQL, JSON, and declarative reporting tools in Salesforce.
  • Experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement data, including Journey Analytics & Campaign Performance Reporting (a plus).
  • Experience with Education Cloud, Data Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Sales & Service Cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools, API integrations, and middleware platforms.
  • Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Python experience is a plus.
