Paralegal (Part-Time)

Position Title: Part-Time Paralegal – Family Law
Position Summary: Assist Attorney (under minimal supervision and according to established policies and procedures) in handling assigned cases/files. Observe confidentially in all client and firm matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform routine elements of practice area skills, professional skills and knowledge of company operations with little or no supervision.

Draft legal documents and provide legal support as necessary under the supervision of attorney.

Strive for an error free work environment and to exceed goals and expectations.

Communicate critical information by conveying that information clearly, accurately, honestly and concisely in accordance with company and practice area policies and procedures.

Provide services to internal and external clients in a timely and efficient manner.

React productively to change and handle other essential tasks as may be assigned.

Provide administrative support including scheduling, billing and time entry, calendaring, document preparation and maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
College degree or legal assistant/paralegal education preferred.

Previous paralegal or legal assistant experience in family law or other related practice areas preferred.

Good interpersonal skills with clients, attorneys and staff at all levels of the firm.

Ability to work efficiently in Windows-based computer applications.
