Independent Contractor Part-Time Email Production Specialist

<p><strong>About CHEST:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to champion the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of chest diseases through education, communication and research.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Details:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>CHEST is seeking an Independent Contractor Part-Time Email Production Specialist. The expected work hours for this position are up to 15 hours per week, and the role would be fully remote. This contract is expected to last 6 months, with possible extension based on business need.</p><p><br></p><p>This position would be ideal for someone that is already working as an independent contractor and wants a few extra hours, or someone looking for part-time work with a flexible schedule. This person would work with our Email Marketing Specialist and Director of Marketing to create effective emails and landing pages that help promote CHEST’s new initiatives.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Main responsibilities:</strong></p><p>1. Assist with email production, deployment and analysis. Report on campaign performance.</p><p>2. Work with the Marketing Communications teams to understand goals and objectives of email communication. Apply best practices and make recommendations to improve email performance.</p><p>3. Assist with developing landing pages applying effective design principles and strategies.</p><p>4. Assist with database and audience lists to include data segmentation and data clean-up to ensure accuracy.</p><p>5. Help implement and uphold CHEST visual identity and brand tone and voice in all marketing emails and other materials.</p><p>6. Be curious. Always looking to push the envelope with email to meet campaign goals.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Required qualifications:</strong></p><p>1. 3+ years’ experience in email marketing. HubSpot experience required.</p><p>2. Demonstrated understanding of email best practices, email trends, conversion rate optimization, design/creative, and personalization.</p><p>3. Basic HTML knowledge and basic understanding of email marketing as a whole.</p><p>4. Detail-oriented with an eye for design and proofreading.</p><p>5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic copywriting and editing skills.</p><p>6. Team player with strong collaboration skills.</p><p>7. Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate and execute multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Compensation</strong>: The pay range for this position is $33-$38 per hour. CHEST considers factors such as, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, key skills, and market and organizational considerations when setting the hourly pay for our temporary independent contractor positions.</p>
