Role Description

The Health Data Consultant conducts analysis on assigned client accounts and internal initiatives related to account performance, growth, retention and trends. Responsibilities will include building strong relationships with clients, developing custom evaluations of accounts integrating data from many sources, ensuring understanding and correct application of analysis and delivering presentations used to guide high-value decisions.

  • Provides input on cross-functional teams to gather and integrate evaluations of customers’ environments, performance evaluations, performance problems and potential alternatives in support of growth and retention.
  • Validates, analyzes, and interprets information from highly technical areas (e.g. medical informatics, service delivery and finance) to make effective cost and process decisions resulting in increased satisfaction and retention.
  • Leverage problem solving skills and frameworks to develop solutions to client business problems.
  • Conducts analysis and provides input to customized evaluations, which include the identification, interpretation and communication of overall account performance against known benchmarks (including new information from Intellimedix and Care Management Sources) and account specific expectations.
  • Designs custom analyses using tools like Excel, Tableau, SAS, R, or ZS' proprietary software.
  • Supports internal stakeholders in providing enhanced analytics and decision support.
  • Supports external stakeholders in development and implementation of analytic solutions.
  • Supports and delivers external/internal presentations that demonstrate the value of products.
  • Integrate qualitative and quantitative information to create insight into client issues.
  • Ensures messaging and market position are appropriately communicated and understood by the market.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years related work experience in a Healthcare/Health insurance environment.
  • Healthcare industry experience with a solid understanding of claims, data analysis, enrollment, and provider operations.
  • Experience with analytics and inferential statistics.
  • Experience writing SQL or SAS code or related code.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and communicating complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to design and deliver presentations that demonstrate the value of products and solutions.
  • Related Bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience.
  • Experience validating, manipulating, analyzing, and interpreting information from highly technical areas (e.g. medical informatics, service delivery and finance) to make effective cost and process decisions resulting in increased satisfaction and retention.
  • Experience communicating and working with cross-functional teams within and outside an organization.
  • Experience with web-based reporting tools, analytic software packages and programming languages.
  • Available to travel within Florida occasionally.

Preferred Experience

  • Master’s degree in a related field can be substituted for 2 years of experience.
  • Experience working with large organizations.
  • Experience with Sales and Renewal Process analytics.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau and/or Power BI.
  • Experience with web-based reporting tools and analytic software packages.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to leverage problem-solving frameworks to develop solutions to client business problems.
  • Experience with medical informatics, service delivery, and finance.

General Physical Demands

  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Annualized Salary Range

  • $84,500 - $137,300
  • Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $84,500 - $105,600
  • Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
