The Opportunity Senior Gear Engineer arenaflex is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Gear Engineer who shares our passion for empowering others and driving excellence in game development. In this pivotal role, you'll become a cornerstone of our development ecosystem, working across disciplines to identify opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions that enhance team performance and productivity. You'll work directly with our art, design, and engineering teams to understand workflow challenges, develop innovative solutions, and implement systems that help us create the high-quality games our players expect and deserve. Key Responsibilities Proactively Identify Development Inefficiencies Continuously analyze our development processes across all disciplines to identify bottlenecks, pain points, and opportunities for improvement. Maintain and Extend Development Tools Take responsibility for the ongoing development, enhancement, and maintenance of arenaflex's existing set of engine-specific and custom development tools. Build and Guide Custom Asset Pipelines Design, develop, and implement custom asset pipeline solutions that streamline workflows and improve efficiency across our development teams. Expand Proprietary Libraries and Technologies Grow arenaflex's proprietary libraries, tools, and technologies across various game engines and platforms. Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration Work closely with artists, designers, engineers, and producers to understand their unique needs and challenges. Solution Implementation and Adoption Develop candidate solutions, weigh trade-offs given project constraints and timelines, implement the chosen approach, and support team adoption. Tool Effectiveness Evaluation Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of implemented tools and make data-driven decisions for improvements.
