Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
  • Conduct repairs on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain systems.
  • Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards.
  • Repair or replace critical parts like air brakes, diesel engines, auto body components, and electrical systems with precision and efficiency.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools skillfully for mechanical repairs while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive problems effectively.
  • Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks, and ensure all work meets dealership or industry standards.

Experience

  • Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific procedures.
  • Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), auto estimating software, and welding techniques enhances your capability.
  • Hands-on experience repairing GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools, schematics interpretation, and electrical systems troubleshooting is essential.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including transmissions, powertrain components, suspension systems, and auto body repair.
  • Ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
